Hello Everyone!!
I have a database of points (1000's of them!) with a column defining
geographic location using Ordnance Survey Grid References. Here's an
example:
Column A
5205 7171
5214 7170
5204 7161
etc...
I would like to use MI's create points function on this dataset but it
seems to me that x,y coordinates are required using degrees (lat/long).
The dataset
that these points will be overlaid with will hopefully be the OS-Panorama
data (I'm still waiting for a price quote!!!) and I am also hoping that
the
projections will correspond!!! Is there possibly a Mapbasic utility that
will batch process the OS grid reference into lat/long? I'll take other
suggestions too. Before we have some poor student input this data (175
pages) we would like to know if it will be possible to create points.
