Hi We have been using Mapinfo since 1992 and one of the features we apreaciate very much, is the direct link between a query and the table. One use of this feature has been to select some objects from a table, perform a colum update on the query/selection and then save the table with the new values. It worked fine in MI 2-4.5, but in MI 5.5 Danish, the table update is not propagandatet to the table and you now have to save the query with the update as a new table, save the rest of the orginal table as another table and then append tne new tables - stupid and strange.
