Can anyone help...
I have played with the demo of MapXtreme 2.0, both Java and NT. These
appear to be excellent products... BUT unfortunately my company has a
license for MapXtreme 1.0 Java (not so easy).
I have 2 main questions.
1) Using the HelloWorld demo application with JRE works ok, but it refuses
to open some of my MapInfo 4.1 TAB files. I have tried using both the
GeoSet Manager and manually writing GeoSets, but certain TAB files refuse to
open. Anyone know why, or what limitations there are on TAB files for
MapXtreme 1.0 - they work ok with 2.0
2) If I try and re-write the application as an Applet there is a
Null-Pointer error whenever the 'new MapJ' command is issued. This works if
I call AppletViewer -debug, but not inside a browser. Are there limitations
to 1.0??? I am using Java 1.2. Whenever the MapPanel class is called
everything dies...
I know this all sounds vague, but any ideas??
