Without knowing the particular syntax error message you're getting,
there's nothing anyone on the list can do. Even knowing the message,
it's highly unlikely anyone can diagnose it, or fix it.
You will have to contact the person that produced the MIF file (or the
vendor of the software package that created it) and let them know they
are producing incorrect MIF files.
