I have created a View in Oracle 8i of a subset of an existing spatial table.
I can load and display the full table in Oracle table in MapInfo with no
problems but cannot load and display the view.
When trying to make the table mappable, The view is listed in the table list
but when I select it I get the error:
Oracle Error: ORA-0403:object "MAPINFO"."TOWN_VIEW" does not exist
TOWN_VIEW exists in Oracle and can be operated on as per a normal table.
I've manually added an entry to the MAPINFO_MAPCATALOG table but I still get
the same error message when trying to open the view.
View are meant to be supported in MapInfo as they are all available in the
Tables list and the filter button (in the 'Open DBMS Table - Step 1 of 4'
dialo box) list Views as an option.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why I cannot load the view? Do MapInfo
views support the SDO_GEOMETRY column?
