Don't know about the second question, but the way to get your map into excel
with legend is to do each one separately. Highlight the map window(not the
layout window) and go to edit on the menu and choose copy map window. Then
go to the spreadsheet and edit menu, paste special and choose either map
object or picture. Then highlight legend window and edit copy legend window
and to excel and edit paste special. It works for me.

Subject: MI - how to integrate with Excel

Two (basic ?) questions:

- Is there a way to embed a MapInfo layout in Office applications (like
Excel) ? I am able to embed a map (via drag and drop) only, so I miss
legends for thematic maps etc...

- Excel has mapping support, based on MapInfo apparently; is there a way to
use and display native MapInfo TAB files ?

Thanks for any tip
