I've come to this discussion a little late (i.e. today) so I can see
already that we aren't switching to a newsgroup!
Just thought I'd mention that Free Agent lets you read news off line.
It's a superb newsgroup reader, and I prefer it to email.
No matter. Everybody else here wants the "L." The
can't-get--it-at-work-firewall problem is the biggest reason not to switch
over.
Anyhow, just a word in favor of newsgroups in general. They can be great.
