I thought somebody out there may be able to help Ken with this one.

Subject: [tmip] Signal Inventory

This is not exactly a travel model improvement question, but perhaps someone
may have useful info to share...In the Dallas-Fort Worth region, we are
trying to get more aggressive about maximizing the immediate air quality
benefits of various traffic signal improvement strategies. A part of our
planned effort consists of a full (and consistent) inventory and
"monitoring" of 4,000+ signalized intersections found in over 80
cities/towns. I could say more, but it's not relevant to this question:

-- Do you know of web sites that contain not only a geographically-correct
(GIS) roadway map of a region, but a "point and click" interface that brings
up detailed geometric and/or timing/phasing data about each signalized
intersection?

If you send the info directly to me, I will be happy to summarize at a later
date for the entire tmip email group.
