I have run several tests with the Geometry Manager and it works. To get the
full effect for some really tangled line work you need to have enough
experience to know what options and errors to target. It may seem to chug
along and take longer than you might be able to tolerate but its results
have been consistent catching the topology issues I have been interested
(mostly overlap of tens of thousands of polygon overlaps). It seems very
stable and with experience most if not all of the major topology (as I
understand the term) problems have been resolved to my expectations. Steps
to clean up data can be automated via MapBasic.

The code that has been adopted to make Geometry Manager comes from the
Spatialware core. If you are building lost of data its a must in my
opinion.

Subject: MI - MapInfo Pro Geometry Manager V1.0

Hello listers,

I am a regular reader of this list and found it very helpful, so I
thought that I might ask the question:
Has anyone had any experience (good, bad or otherwise) with the software
"MapInfo Pro Geometry Manager V1.0"

In particular, I am interested in how well it handles topologic clean
up, as my background is in topology based software rather than object
based software. For instance, could I ask the software to "verify a map"
and would it issue a report of perceived problems etc. Also, how does
it compare with the MapLogix map editing utility from
( http://www.korem.com ).

I have seen the glossy material, and it appears encouraging; but I would
appreciate any feed back.

TIA
