Dear All Thanks for many responses to my basic query about zooming to the map area represented by a selected table record. Original Query > I am looking for the MapInfo equivalent of an ArcView feature of "Zoom to > selected record". I have a grid of 750 squares - searching for the correct > grid square by eye & mouse is very slow. Is there a facility of selecting > the grid reference number on the table browser (using FInd) and zooming to > that part of the map? It would save so much time. > 1 Select record on table browser, then Query -> find selection 2 Ensure table column is indexed, then use CRTL+F to specify record These are substantially better than what I was using, which was re-drawing the map to show the whole grid and finding the grid square by eye. Three useful BMX programs were sent Seltrak which alters the zoom to the current selection from Trey Pattillo [[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Zoomsel which zooms to selected record in table from Tim.Nuteson (Exchange) [[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Viewselection from [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Being unsure of list protocol I have not passed these programs on.) My concern was to remove as much mouse work as possible. The best method I could find is 1 Use query to specify column value in table - do not browse results 2 Viewselection = ON to zoom directly to record. [EMAIL PROTECTED] that it may interfere with cloned views. Thanks to everyone.
