It seems we are almost on our own in the use of 32MB
cards
The responses I have are as follows:
From Bob Garett
I have been using a Matrox Millennium G400 w/32mb and dual
monitors for
about 4 months with MI 5.5 and 6.0 beta and have had none of the problems you mention. The only "bug" that I have seen is on rare occasions when a window is closed, the image will remain on the screen. If you hit refresh, however, it goes away. Happens on other programs as well as MI. -------------------

I've had great success with 3DLabs Oxygen VX1. The nice thing is that it supports viewing 3D images with panchromatic glasses. I use the card in a Dual PIII 600B Mhz machine running Windows NT. The card works great and is roughly $300 - $350 Canadian. Check it out at http://www.3dlabs.com --------------------
From Paul Tuckley
Although I do not use this card myself I have noticed some
strange
behaviour with the ATI Rage Pro card fitted in my machine. You may find, as I did, that if you download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card from the ATITech website that the problem is solved ---------------
Our own experience is that the problems persisted even
with the current drivers from the ATI web site, we also found problems in an
address handling package we use with MapInfo and with Powerpoint 95 all of which
were cured by reducing the level of graphics acceleration by 2
notches.
All the cards are now being replaced with Matrox cards and
I will report back on what happens in about ten days time
