Hi All!
I am currently in the process of compiling multiple
databases together and would like to know if any one
has done a project similar to this.
We currently have a very large database that holds
things concerning our store locations, such as leases,
rent, options, site plans, aerials, and just about any
other variable concerning the site. What I want to do
is add a button that will interconnect the two, but I
want to be able to add the link to every site I look
at. For instance, If in MapInfo I clicked (or double
clicked whatever the case may be) on the site, I could
get it to link up to the site plans aerials, etc.
without them all being inside MapInfo.
Or I would like to do the opposite. I could be in the
database (FoxPro) and be looking at the data for Store
#200 and it have a button that would kick in MapInfo
and open a map of Store #200. I am not worried about
the mapping side as much as getting it to kick in
MapInfo from a hot link within FoxPro.
I am playing with the Hotlink Mapbasic for know, but
if there are any other I options I sure would
appreciate your input.
