MI 3-D GIS to CAD

Hi all,

Has anyone had any luck in converting 3-D GIS data from Vertical Mapper etc to 3-D 
strings in CAD (MicroStation, AutoCAD)?
Is there a way to convert contour lines or spot heights into 3-D strings/points in any 
CAD system?
