David,

I belive that d2m - (MicroStation to Mapinfo translator) converts
text quite well. It is MDL application which creates mif and mif
files for importing it to Mapinfo.

Please let me know if you require more information or demo
version.

Kind Regards,

Subject: MI DGN2MAP problem

Hi!

I pretty sure that most of you have already encountered problems while
translating Microstation DGN to MapInfo format, especialy with text
features. As you know, the text feature are displaced during the
translation. I have used most of the commercial translation tools available
on the market such as FME and MapInfo Uuniversal Translator and i got not
satisfactory result, i should say no quality output at all.

Does anyone of you know if a mapbasic tool has been developed in the past to
fix this problem?

Thanks for answers.

Regards,

David
