I just have started with Mapinfo and have a "basic" question ref. data exchange
between Access - Mapinfo.
Problem: I have got an Access DB which will be updated regularly, using another
DB (Lotus Notes). E.g the new data will be typed manually into Lotus Notes, and
then transferred (link or export) to Access. As Mapinfo cannot access
ODBC-linked DB within Access (correct ??), I have chosen for now to export
everytime the data completely from Lotus Notes via ODBC to Access, e.g. deleting
and overwriting the old Access DB.
This implicates, that the geocoding information in the already existing Access
DB will be lost, and I have to start geocoding the whole table again !!
Does anybody knows a better way in doing this, so that I do not lose everytime
the geocoding information stored in the column "Mapinfo_id" and have to geocode
it over and over again.
