Title: MI limit on file size
Amanda,

You may like to check a few things becuase I do not know a file size limit. (doesn't mean to say there isn't one though!)

The first being have you enough diskspace?

How is the table being created? If via an insert statement then make sure you are turning the fastedit on undo off to stop the tranaction tables being created.

If you are creating a table on say drive D what is the disk space available to the temp directory - Sometimes MI can create large ~mapxxxx.tmp files.

If you doing a number of selects to create the table make sure the ~mapXXXX.tmp files do not exceed 10000 or MI will stop. use select into syntax for each table.

I hope this helps

Martin
