You have to convert the German / Suisse national diacrits:

"�"  --->   "ü"
"�"  --->   "ä"
"�"  --->   "ö"
"�"  --->   "Ü"
"�"  --->   "Ä"
"�"  --->   "Ö"
"�"  --->   "ß"
