Try this site for some info. I've used Trimble's GPS receiver forever with
no flaws.
Blue Marble makes software that will allow you to track all satellites in
range, what signal
strengths your getting from each satellite, and GPS recording - a very
useful feature in bad weather. FYI, This example works well with Intergraph
in a field inventory setting. (At least we can finally get rid of the
differential corrections device). Depending on the quality of your base
maps, I would say that Trimble is plotting at a +-3ft. accuracy. Can't help
with the matching conduit code off hand.
Maybe set yourself up an MDL in Microstation, place your conduit values in a
.lut (my opinion, I still find it easier to use CAD in the field as appose
to GIS) TMI

Subject: MI-L GPS hardware for development in VB
Can anyone recommend a good GPS (+-5m accuracy) hardware and tools that can
be used for development of a basic data collection program using VB. Mainly
looking for GPS and matching conduit code which will enable VB apps to
request x,y coordinate from GPS unit.
Thanks
