Hi,
I'm frequently exporting TAB data directly from
MapInfo to DXF using either the Universal translator, Table|Export or Discovers
Export|3D. Despite these three different options, I regularly come across
CAD packages that can't read the attribute data within the DXF file. 8/10
the graphical data appears in the CAD package, eg contour lines, but the user
can't find out what the elevation is. Experimenting with blocks
& without blocks etc doesn' t help. So my questions
are:
1) has anyone got a reference to a good description
of dxf files and there (apparently many) different
components/versions?
2) has anyone come across a 3rd party DXF export
utility that offers a few more option when generating DXF files?
