We built an app for a Cemetery a couple of years ago. We used MapInfo as
the mapping front end linked to the accounts SQL DB.
We used real world coordinates, so our drafting was all done in Autocad
then imported into MI.
We found MI could not handle the degree of drafting accuracy required to
get down to 4ftx8ft plots
The app is still working and is set up on touch screens for visitors to get
the information required.
We had over 400,000 plots and 200,000 wall plaques, trees roses etc, so
Autocad was ideal as we wrote applications to automatically create blocks of
plots based on given coordinates.
