I recommend adding more memory if you intend to print multiple pages of any
size or graphic intensity. I use the HP 488 CA and have done this
successfully. The stock memory just isn't enough to queue much of
anything...

Best of luck!

Subject: MI-L : Plotter purchase query

I am looking at purchasing a plotter to run with MapInfo.

Apparently the HP 650C has been superseded by the HP Designjet 500.

Is anyone using this new Designjet plotter? Did you upgrade the RAM from the
base 16 Meg? Are you running it from a parallel port or did you go the
postscript/network option?

Finally, how does it handle raster and vector data?

Many thanks,

Bill

PS. If anyone in the Perth, Australia area has a used HP 650C for sale,
please contact me.
