Legal disclaimers that are sent as attachments will be interpreted as
viruses and will be stripped off. However, if you *include* your
disclaimer like a tag line or sig, and it is text (not a graphic), it
will be included.

Legal disclaimers are pretty pointless in public forum email anyway.
Messages posted here are not "confidential" as some disclaimers state;
they are not guaranteed to be "swept for viruses" (can you guarantee
your software gets each and every one? I doubt it); all email is always
the author's opinion, not their company's; and all email is copyrighted
by the author. So why do lawyers insist on stating in writing things
that are hard to defend when push comes to shove? Perhaps they want to
feel needed.

Law sure is a wiggly, squishy thing that screeches and bites and pfffts
out all sorts of noxious gases when you squeeze it.
