MI-L Splitting Polylines

Dear list,

I have a question regarding the possibility of splitting Polylines at 

 a manually selected node or
 a newly manually inserted node.

As a result there should be two Polylines. One be  leading from the 
original start node to the new-selected node, and the other one leading from the new 
node 
to the original end node. 

Any help, sample code would be greatful
