Hi Bob,
I often use Dr. Ian Johnson's program. It is a DOS program but flexible
and works fast.
It can make rectangular grids but it does not make any TAB files directly.
It creates MIF/MID files and you have to import these files to get
desired grids.
If you have not used the program before, please check the header lines
of MIF files. You have to type a line of projection setting.
Hoping this helps some people.
