Hello everybody. I have a project that use MapBasic to write a program to calculate
the reference crop evapotranspiration base on the FAO Penman-Montheith method.The
final result will be when you click on a place on the map in MapInfo, the latitude of
the place will automatically go into the program and the program will prompt you to
input other data and the reference crop evapotranspiration can be calculated. This
project is to ease the calcution procedure of the reference crop evapotranspiration as
it involve many steps. The refence crop evapotranspiration is needed to determine the
crop evapotranspiration. The crop evapotranspiration is an important information in
determining how much water you have to supply to the crops.
So, is there any utilities that can read or access or display the coordinates of the
map so that the latitude can be read and used in the FAO Penman-Montheith method? I
also welcome any suggestion regarding the project.Thank you.
