I don't know about preventing VM from connecting adjacent points.....but you
could try this
Try running the contouring as you previously have so that you have lines
connected across your peninsular. Then use the trim tool to cut out the
sections of the contours that cross the peninsular.
To do this you would have to draw a polygon the same shape as the peninsular
and use that as the basis for the trim. If your peninsular is a vector
layer you can use the trace functionality of MapInfo to get an exact copy of
the peninsular so that the contours are truncated exactly at the boundary.

Subject: MI-L Contouring
HI, I was hoping someone may be able to help me with this one. I want to
contour some depth data within a harbour using vertical mapper. However, I
need to prevent interpolation of the data across a peninsula. Whenever I
try to produce the contour, the contour lines are connected by adjacent
points across the peninsula. Is there some way I can prevent this, perhaps
using breaklines? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Andrew.
