Greetings, List. A customer claims that the street names (labels) of the map appear too slowly. Please assume that all the regular techniques have been used (no overlap, no duplication) and that ALL the streets on the screen (about 40 to 50) MUST be labelled. A powerful computer could refresh these street names in under a second. A less powerful computer (like the ones the customer uses) takes about 5 to 6 seconds, and that's too slow. Does anyone know what could make the labels display faster? Would more RAM help? Faster video card (I understod they were only good for 3D)? A technique for generating labels OTHER than Autolabel - like keping them on another layer as symbols, or something like that? Anything else? TIA to all responders.
