Here is what seems to be happening. The program is shutting down on me intermittently. I have been trying to figure out a pattern to the shutdowns but as of yet I have not been able to do so. They seem to be totally random in nature. Sometimes I will get an error message that looks like this... <<...>> Sometimes however the error message does not appear, the whole program just closes down. In hopes of finding an answer I have spent hours on the phone with the MapInfo Tech Support, and hours with my company ITS people. Everybody continues to scratch their heads. I am having no other problems with my system. All other programs function properly. I was hoping somebody else out there has had a similar problem, and could help out. Some things that have been tried: Wiping all of the MapInfo files and keys, as well as, Target Pro, And Map Marker, and Reinstalling Map Info only. Updating the bios, installing service packs, running scandisk, and defragementation. Checking the tab files for corruption. (They open fine on other systems, such as the systems at MapInfo Tech Support. I am running a Dell PC, Windows 2000, with a Pentium III processor, 128 MB of ram, and a 10gig, and a 40gig hard drive. I really would appreciate any help that I get from anybody out there. Thank you. _______________________________________________________________________ List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MapInfo-L" in the message body.
