There is a tool called "Search and Replace" available in the MapInfo
Professional Tool Manager. Select "Tool Manager..." from the "Tools"
menu. Scroll down through the list until you find "Search and Replace"
Check the box in the "Loaded" column to use it once, and check the box
in the "Autoload" column to have it available every time you start
MapInfo Professional. Click "Ok". Now there is a "Search and Replace"
entry in the "Tools" menu. It provides the functionality that it
sounds like you are looking for.
