All,

I'm working with an application which is written in PowerBuilder, and uses
MapInfo Pro as an OLE, to display various map windows (I know MapX is a
viable alternative, but we've kind of inherited the system as is).

If you open the map window, within the application, then make no changes and
close it again, everything shuts down fine. However, if you open the window,
make any kind of amendment to the displayed data, then close the
application, it leaves a 'rogue' MAPINFOW.EXE process open. This can be
viewed via Task Manager. This causes problems the next time an attempt is
made to open the same window, as it tends to lock tables.

Is anyone aware of some special command which should be issued by
PowerBuilder to eliminate this process?
Our PowerBuilder expert has run out of ideas, so I'm hoping someone out
there has experienced something similar.

In case it makes a difference, we're currently running v4.1.2 of MapInfo
Pro, soon to be upgrading to v6.0 or v6.5.

Thanks in advance.

Matt.
