The concept of storing the spatial object as part of the data record is not new, but i was unaware of any implementation of it other than Oracle spatial, Spatialware, SDE and the like on the larger database platforms. Certainly i was not aware of implementations on an Access platform.
The concept is certainly better than storing the spatial data in one file and trying to maintain an index to a table that can be altered from another program.
