Thanks Franois,
I appreciate the help. Unfortunately, I tried that, and the driver I'm
using (MySQL) is not supported, and changing the driver to one of the
supported ones is not an option at this time. It suggests using MapBasic to
update the driver list in the program, which I'm working on right now . . .
, or manually creating the catalog, but it doesn't explain how to do that.
If anyone has the Mapbasic code for creating a dbms catalog using a MySQL
server, or can explaing the procedure for manually creating the catalog, I'd
much appreciate it.

Terry

Hi Terry,

To create a Map Catalog, load the application "DBMS Catalog" available in
the tool manager.

Run it and specify the DBMS connection you want to map your data from and
Bingo!

Hope this helps!

Subject: MI-L Making DBMS Table mappable

I've been trying unsuccessfully to map a dbms table linked to an SQL server.
The link works fine, however, I cannot map the table because it doesn't have
a map catalog in the source file. Any suggestions, or tips on how to fix
this, and or work around it? Thanks

Terry
