Hello, We get the following messages in sequence when we start MI 6.5 on both of two Win2000 Dell networked computer (MI installed locally):
MI splash screen first appears with the error messages inside in a little box titled "MapInfo Map." First error: Failed to update the system registry. Please try using Regedit. I click OK. Second error: Unable to convert to short paths! OLE Registry may be corrupt! I click OK. After I click OK on each error MI starts and continues to run seemingly without problems. Since I don't want to work with Regedit, don't know short paths and I take exclamation points seriously, any advise would be greatly appreciated.
