I would confirm that with a precision: MI uses simply the order of the files as Windows retrieves them. The order I get is the same with the MI function tableinfo(i,TAB_INFO_NAME) with i=1 to numtables() and with the GetFileNames() sub (on our site in the MapBasic Resource Center) that uses the API calls of FindFirstFile, FindNextFile. They file names are in the order of opening.
