It's the order tables are opened from the Open Tables section of the
workspace. This is just after the first lines that start with an exclamation
point. You will have to edit it using notepad, be sure to change the File
Name pull down from *.txt to *.wor when trying to open the workspace. Then
cut the line for the table you want to be first in the pull down list (e.g.
Open Table "Z:\mapinfo\UNIONTWP\Parcels" As Parcels Interactive) and paste
it first in the list. And of course, the fields available to search must be
indexed, and are in the order of the field list. If you want a particular
field to be first in that list, put it first in the field list through the
table maintenance commands, move field up / down button.

Subject: MI-L order of tables in FIND command

L-isters,

can anyone tell me how MI orders the tables in the dropdown list on the
FIND dialogue box. I know its not layer order in layer control or
alphabetical. Any ideas?

Thanks
