My opinion is:

        MIF/MID

MIF=3DMapInfo Interchange Format
as stated in the MapInfo documentation.

See also the "Export Table to File" dialog.

Subject: MI-L: Settle a "Discussion"

We are having a heated discussion on the proper order
for of the MapInfo format to put into printed
materials.  Is it:

            MIF/MID
              or
            MID/MIF

Or doesn't it matter?
