Ok, I am quit new to the world of Map Info. My company (land developer)
has a large database of all the open dirt, commercial centers, school
districts, city plans, land comps and other goodies for a major
metropolitan area. This database was built and is still in use by
SalesLogix (but that is another email list all together). They want
this database to be mappable and somewhat interactive. Now I have a few
questions...

I have searched the archive and seen numerous problems connecting MI to
MS SQLServer 7. Has these been fixed with 6.5, or has it improved any
with SQL 2000?

Can I map the SalesLogix data or does MapInfo like to have everything in
it's own database like SalesLogix does?

What is the SQL compliance level of MI?

Is the 6.5 upgrade from 6.0 worth it?

Should we purchase a spactialware middleware server?

Thanks for any help.
