Tom,
Here is the answer to your first question. When you go to labeler your
layer, choose an expression instead of a field and use this:
Format$(CentroidX(Object), "#.########")+Chr$(13)+Format$(CentroidY(Object),
"#.########"). The #.##### takes the decimal out as far as you like.

As far as your second question goes I think you can set default styles, but
cannot remember at this time.

Good luck!

Aaron

Subject: MI-L Auto-Adding text in Layout from point or centroid info

I sent these questions a while back and received no response. I reworded
them a bit. Just being a PITB again !

1. I wish to have centroid values (LL) inserted into a layout so the map
user direct helicopter pilots to that specific area. Presently I manually
enter the data. Is there soome "codewords" or something which i can insert
into a text box in the layout or mapper window which will automagically
place the LL values???

2. Also, whenever I create a new TAB file I get red regions outline with
white fill and stars for points. I then have to manual override them to the
colors I prefer. How can I change the default for point line and regions???

Thanks..........tom
