Please can you help... We have been running MapInfo and ProViewer 6.5. MapInfo is installed on the server, with each specified PC added as a client. ProViewer is installed on the hard drive of many PCs. Installing each of these methods creates a series of MapInfo or ProViewer sub-directories under 'C:\WINNT\Profiles\Administrator\Application Data', into which is put the Custom symbols, pen styles files etc.
This has worked fine on Windows NT. However, some of our new PCs are Windows 2000, which doesn't have an 'Administrator' sub-directory, only 'All Users'. On installing MapInfo or ProViewer in these cases the installation has not set up the extra sub-directories and custom files, and has not copied them anywhere else that I can find. Does anyone know how to get around this problem please? I have custom symbols, and modifed pen files to add, and I can't do this at the moment.
