Is there any tool in mapBasic which does the plotting of NMEA data on MI.

Hello List,
I was wondering if anyone knows of any software which can read a nema
string coming from a GPS receiver and pass those coordinates to a
MapInfo workspace? I would like to connect a GPS receiver to my laptop,
drive down the road and see my vehicle plotting on my MapInfo
workspace. Any ideas/suggestions etc. would be greatly appreciated.
