Currently running MI 6.5 on Windows 2000, SP3 using PIII dual 600 MHz CPU's with 1024 RAM. Somewhere between switching from MI 5.5 to MI 6.5 and from Windows NT to Windows 2000 I have had nothing but nasty, ugly, time consuming problems with the HP Designjet 2500 CP. Problems are both in HPGL as well as in PS mode. Recently updated firmware chip (thanks to HP for keeping its users up-to-date .... two years after the fact), reloaded latest drivers but all did do nothing. Sometimes it will print but never in best resolution. It used to print everything fine regardless of the size of the file, now drawing by hand is often faster. Does anybody have any ideas. We seem to bounce back and forth between system error 071004 XXXXXXXX on the HP Designjet side and Raster engine error:2 on the PC side. Tx.
