Jacques - hmm - I just noticed the problem you pointed out.
I think what caused the problem is that I ran the place boundaries through another geographic translator (to add the demographics) before processing them by state, and you're right, the translator messed up the holes in the polygons. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll have to fix this and upload them again. Another way to fix the problem is to select any of the features with anything in one of the fields; ie, len(ltrim$(rtrim$(state))) > 0, and save it to a new file.
