Kevin, I just sent Brian both the sdts2dem.exe file and the DEM2Grid tool for MapInfo.
I am running on MI v6.0 (I know, I know... tell my boss to upgrade!) and the process I use is the SDTS2DEM executable (to create the DEM), and the DEM2Grid tool (which makes the Grid and .tab file). Is the demtoxyz translator a better option? -Ross -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Slover [mailto:Kevin.Slover@;noaa.gov] Sent: Tuesday, October 29, 2002 10:15 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: MI-L Running DEM's / DEM open problem Brian, There is a sdtstodem translator at the gisdatadepot page. Follow: http://www.gisdatadepot.com/dem/sdts2dem.html This will conver the sdts file into a dem file, which MI now claims can be openned directly. However, in using this translator the other day, MI7 would not directly open them. Has anyone else had this problem out there on the list? In order to view the dem, I had to then use the demtoxyz translator, and then pull it into VM3.0. [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > I just downloaded some DEM's from the gisdatadepot and unzipped them.
