Thanks to one and all who responded to my request for guidance on creating
symbols in MapInfo.
I used the Font Maker Eval. version to create few symbols and store them as
ttf type fonts for use inside MapInfo.
Now I am facing the next devil...
I opened the tab file that has the point objects for which I wanted to
define the new symbols that I had created.
I selected the layer for editing in MI Pro and then used my Symbol Style
tool to browse to the new ttf font I had created [I liked so much seeing it
as the font file was named as SRG:-)] and then set the size to a comfortable
value.
But when I zoom out the symbol starts growing in size and my TAB file has
point objects so close to one another that the map becomes cluttered with my
new symbol. On the other hand if I reduce the symbol size and zoom in, the
symbol size is so small that it is hardly visible - Two extremities!!!
Can I do something about this, so that the symbols are displayed scale
independent (I mean the size remains the same, irrespective of the zoom
level).
