We have a Pro XR but I still run WIn 98, with Office Pathfinder 2.7. We IO on the serial port, so maybe there's a way to switch from parallel to serial? You may want to upgrade your pathfinder product. I was just at a good hands on seminar for Utility folks, emphasis on Trimble products for collection. The latest Pathfinder version sounds like a good enough upgrade for us, just waiting for next years budget. As I recall, it is XP certified, has more uncompression/unzip options than just .zip's. Also, I believe that you can now export MIFs in more than just WGS 84.

I have an off topic question. I gather GPS data with a Trimble machine and recently upgraded to WinXP which caused some comaptiblity issues with my Trimble "dongle" (parallel port security key). Anyway it put me out of business for awhile and I was wondering if there is any other software out there which can do a Trimble SSF native format conversion to TXT or a GIS format? I know that SSF is Trimbles proprietary format but there must be some one up there who has taken up the challenge!!!
