        I guess that I must have a setting that needs to be changed for me to view the 
shortcuts. Where can I find out abot these "unix symbolic links" and how to create 
them?

I use these all the time, and they seem to work fine here. I find 
shortcuts to be VERY useful. But not as useful as unix symbolic links.
