Hi, One thing to keep in mind with MapXtreme, is that MapX is inherently a desktop product. E.g. it uses the machine graphics card to determine the available output capabilities. Beware of servers with 16 color displays !
And Windows Terminal Server messes with the graphics display properties. I've tried running MIPro on a server exporting mapper windows to bitmapped files. Running it locally on the server was ok (16 bit colors), but thru WTS it rendered at most 8bit colors, probably less - the images looked horrible. I would think that installing MapX(treme) with WTS sets bogus/errornous display properties for (MapX), making it balk at any given moment. So I support the warning to never use WTS for installation of MXT. Best regards/Med venlig hilsen Lars V.
