I�m having difficulties with getting coordinates into MapInfo. I export them from a database program but when I open a MapInfo table, several decimal places are always dropped off. Then when I go into Table Maintenance and change the field properties from from characters to decimals, the longitude with the �-� (like �80.12345) goes to �9.9999999999. What is going on with this. I�ve tried opening the file first in Excel and converting the columns to number format but it continues to do it. Any ideas. This is really frustrating.
