MI-L Help making Hwy. shields

I am experiancing difficulties with the use of the shield manager.  When I proceed to 
create a shield using this, it plots the object as a square instead of a shield.  Can 
you please give me an idea of what I might be doing wrong?  Thankyou for your time.
