The problem Darren describes seems to be a microsoft windows issue since any complex WMF file regardless of source presents the same problem in Microsoft Office products.
We also use WMF (and PDF) files alot for printing. Although jpeg or PNG format is good enough for on-screen presentations We haven�t found an adequate solution for cropping wmf files outside Mapinfo and welcome a solution.
